Australia’s Best Market Report!

Fresh As Fruit

The first apples of the season are here, starting with the queen of the apples, the sensational ROYAL GALA apples from Stanthorpe, QLD. Last week we spoke about the Clapp pears, this week we’re introducing the new season Nashis! They’re 3 for $5.95, so you can’t beat that. Watermelons and grapes are eating a treat so be sure to get those in your box. And if you're looking for something tart, go for the raspberries, they're stunning right now. Limes are 5 for $2.99 so stock up and grab the world's best margarita mix, Listo, while you're at it.

 Fresh As Veg & More

If you're only going to have one tomato, it's gotta be cherry truss tomatoes! Still on the vine and super sweet. Perfect tossed into a hot frying pan with a little butter, garlic and fresh herbs and then put the lid on top of it and turn the heat down to medium and add some sugar, vinegar and oil. Reduce it down to make a quick confit. Serve it with your scrambled eggs for breakfast or on the side of a main. And I've said it before but I'll say it again, Caulini (the cousin to broccolini and cauliflower) is the veg you need try! Great in tacos, salads, roasted or fried.
